Anyone who knows us can imagine how our room looks like now. We haven’t even started packing but we have strings for bracelets and powder for rocket engines all over it. I finished my youthpass and other papers yesterday…and continued to improve them every time Moxi found some small mistake in them. Because he finished his around 6 in the morning:)) What can we say…typical, genius , I can work only when I have inspiration behaviour. Thank God now we’re finished and hopefully everything will be ok. It’s clouded and rainy outside and it makes it even more depressing to leave. I can’t believe tonight will be the last time I sleep here, I also can’t believe I have to pack all my second-hand and Prior stuff in only one car. I can believe Moxi still finds t-shirts he hasn’t wore. I can’t imagine that next week I will be home and not here, doing bracelets with my good students Anca and Mat Mat or playing Transeuropa and Moxi accusing us all the time of cheating in some way. I will really miss our evenings together, hearing Mat saying “šaildren” or approving with a “yes, yes, no problem” everything we say. I’m not sure I will miss the mess Moxi did with his rockets, but it turned out to be a great project so I admire him for being a genius. I will miss Sisa’s big smile every day and her constant energy to go to yoga and zumba. She’s the only one I could have not refused when she told me I was gonna have a make-up session…so people out there who know what a tom-boy I am can realise how much I love her. From all the people in Bunkr, Jana is the one who resembles with me most. Well…not the constant smoking…but the direct way in which she says things, the constant need to be active and busy. I love you Jana and I hope you have a great time in Italy. I think between my favourite memories will remain the streetworks with Danka and Tomas. Danka being scared to play football with us and Tomas playing and jumping around like there’s no tomorrow:)) What can I say more…Big thanks to Misa and Marketa in Bohumin who were always so kind and understanding with us (thank you Marketa for the pictures and the special weekend we had in Ostrava). Big thanks Bunkr for accepting us in your team, thank you clients for the music I discovered at the club, for the good and bad words I’ve learned, thank you Czech Republic for your beautiful castels and events, thank you Slovakia and Poland for being so close, thank you David for our bike trips, thank you Moxi and sexy red car for driving everywhere we wanted:)

I think everybody heard until now about my crazy ideas or at least of what I’m capable of :) I learned from the others that if I’m telling them about a new idea the first reaction will be: “Oh-ohh…”. My activities go hand in hand with lots of wires, electricity, chemical substances, impossible-to-find-on-the-market-substances and improvisation.. the successful receipt for disaster :p  The improvisation it’s somehow in my romanian genes. If you think about Romania you first think of Dacia or Dracula, the order doesn’t matter. If you think of Dacia cars then for sure the first picture that comes in mind is one of a guy fixing something to the engine with a wire, a women sock and some scotch tape because, he needs badly to go 50 more km with his family to a grill party in some remote forest. We.. the Romanians, live our lives somewhere in the thin line between “we’re experts of everything” and “nothing bad could happen to us”.. Ahh.. and don’t forget about the most famous “don’t change anything if it’s still going” :) )

Back to my latest activity: the rockets!! I had the idea while I was in Bohumin watching the kids destroying our club. What started as a funny joke ended as hard job and impossible to find materials. But all this made it even more desirable and enjoyable. So if you want to know what I needed for my first rocket.. here it is!

First, a hammer got from Pan Razska while trying to avoid unwanted shots of “šlivovica”, then a lot of mysterious walks in and out of his house trying to hide all my strange stuff. You wonder why maybe? Because I don’t want him to know who’s responsible for blowing up his house. Anyhow, I think he’s really suspicious regarding all the hammer knockings starting 9 o’clock :) )) I also needed many trips to all my favorite stores in searching for all my tools (Lidl the best – simsim knows why :p), the weird looks when I’m trying to buy exactly 3 nails and I ask the lady to measure them because I don’t want 4,4 or 5,4 mm.. I want exact 5 mm in diameter. What else..? A lot of good Czech / bad Czech talking skills that bring up smiles or laughs, trips by bike around all garbage paces from Kanada to see what I can (re)use; a hand made scale for measuring 2,25 grams with a tea-bag as a reference =)), a elektrický zapalovač to brake it and use it as a rocket igniter, home made fuse paper because shocking.. but it’s not that easy to fire a rocket just with paper, or even a string with special oil on it.. But.. finally I DID IT.. wow !!

I have to thank Simsim for supporting not only me, but our OMG-messy-trashy-dirty room with my “yeah yeah.. I’ll clean it now..”, for the scary look when I’m telling her I’ll make more rockets in Romania also, for all the cakes she made and not least for the (not so) useless videocam tripod :p  Speaking of electronics, thanks Sisi for “vaha.. i don’t have to use my scotch tape balance anymore ;) I had to support lots and lots of “bad” jokes from my colleagues: Simsim, Anca and Mat :) but it was so nice when they all happily cheered when I did it. Sorry Anca for scaring you so many times when you went out of the room in the middle of the night while I was working in the living room :) Tomaš helped me with his tubes and thank God for all his “strange” friends that order chemical substances by Pošta o.O. Also thank you Jana and Bunkr for giving me money to blow up Třinec :D (to je vtip :p)

This is the best project ever!!

Oh..I have to cope with a lot of memories…since last Friday when we went to Mosty to Jana’s gorgeous house and we went by bobovka(can;t really explain what is that…it’s like a small car on a roaller-coaster:) . We were really good kids- except Marius, Anca and Mathieu (our new volunteer from France)..who gave Bart(Jana;s dog ) beer. The dog was really happy:)) Marius was not in a planking mood…so I planked on the swimming pool in his place:)

Saturday we went to Slovakia in the mountains. The weather was so-so..a bit raining sometimes, the path was kinda slippery, Mathieu was almost falling often, his umbrella fell down a few meters…he went after it(because it was bad for the environment to leave it there:)) Our clothes were soo dirty at the end of the day but it did not matter. Anca and Marius had a great time remembering old romanian hip-hop songs:) We also wanted to visit a castle…but the access was kinda complicated…so we just admired it from the parking lot while eating an ice-cream. We also saw a small cultural festival, and ate cukrova vata from a lady who was curious if we are from America because she was interested how much a hamburger costs there:)) We ended our evening with a nice dinner and watching a tv show. So the weekend passed very quickly and we were still thinking about Pan Raszka’s cherry tree. We can see it from our kitchen window and all the time we were thinking about ways to pick up the cherries. It;s tricky because it;s a very big tree but with small, thin branches. So what does Raszka decide to do to help us? Takes out a leather and some electric machine..and cuts off the biggest branch from the tree. So yes….we’re eating cherries for two days…and we;re happy.

Marius has been working for some time now on his rocket- he;’s not going anywhere..it;s for an activity with the kids:)) and yesterday we celebrated his first success ..we even have a video with it flying. The new fashion in the house is making friendship bracelets…Anca and Mathieu are good students and they are becoming addicted to this:)) After I eat some more cherries I will put a picture with them working hard:)

Well I think of it as a loong weekend considering it from Thursday. We went by bicycles from 9 am until 13 pm. We stopped of course to have lunch but still…it was quite a long ride. The most important part of it? The way back. We discovered a really nice area around Trinec with a river. The boys..Moxi and David(aka the czech teacher) started to act like boys. Having a wonderful competition of throwing rocks in the river. For me..it was kinda boring…for them..it was like discovering fire.

What I liked most about this weekend was the fact that I spent 3 days in 3 countries. Friday we went shopping in Poland, Saturday we visited some bunkers and they had an event commemorating the Second World War and we visited a beautiful castle and Sunday we went to Slovakia. The 3 days have something in common. The bad weather kept following us. You could see the dark clouds all around us. We must be pretty special people. Because all the time in the place where we were..it was sunny. Just when we arrived home..the way from the car to the house…was made on pouring rain. It helps if you have an umbrella. And we did..just that most of the times we left it in the car. Never leave your umbrella in the car…or you will end up like us…buying a bit broken umbrellas for 10 kc just to be able to get to the car:))). Another super nice fact was our talk on Saturday about trying to go rafting. We were making plans and on Sunday in Slovakia, a big fan of Universitatea Cluj gave us a leaflet with rafting on the river Vah. Well..it was a very primitive kind of rafting..more like sailing ..felt a heck lot like Huckelberry Finn…but it was a start and now we want for sure to try the real thing.

Yesterday evening, after such a looong weekend…we decided to make one more stop. We went to a place where Poland, Slovakia and Czech Republic meet. It was nice to be in 3 states at once:P. We had the opportunity there to practice planking. Planking as I mentioned many times before is a stupid sport where you have to lay on something and take a picture like that. The reason why it;s a stupid sport is because people tried to lay on the 7th floor of a hotel…and died of course. Come to think of it…the sport itself is not so stupid…people taking it to extremes are:) So Moxi has a few pics doing planking..nothing dangerous..just looking silly:))

Well it was a looong weekend…and today is Monday…and we;re starting fresh…another long walk by bicycles…God knows where..it’s almost raining outside.

P.S: I forgot to mention the really nice time we had a the pool on Friday..and Moxi’s endless attempts to swim. Poor guy was struggling to stay on the surface but the water was against him. Finally he managed to swim a quarter of pool:)))…and promise he will practice every week to improve his survival skills:P

de toate

Mno unele subiecte atinse in acest post poate au mai fost mentionate in blogul de la bunkr unde scriu…dar aici ma exprim in dulcele grai ardelenesc si mi-era dor sa scriu ase cum vreau( adica sa inteleaga si Nico a mea ca ea o facut rusa la scoala:)

Saptamana asta am imbatranit un an.

Azi noapte a plouat. In 2 minute era senin. Always have an umbrella. Always have a t-shirt, blouse and a jacket. You never know when snow or rain comes.

So I should write this post in english because Sisa wants to be able to read it(and she’s my boss so I should listen to her:P).

My story for today begins at Christmas when I went home to Romania. I took with me my shapes for baking animal biscuits and I forgot them there. Now these are not any kind of baking shapes. They were a present from St. Nicholas and from what I heard he brought them from a Christmas Fair..so I could not find other ones to buy in January. My only option was to ask my mom to send them to me by post office. One day, after showing her how to sign off messenger and select the sign me in automatically button( she shut down the computer instead but that is a story about her digital competences I’ll tell you about another time:))…so, after 10 minutes when her computer started again, I told her to go to the post office and ask how much it would cost to send me that small package with baking forms. And then hell broke loose. From January untill March, all I could hear in every conversation with her was…ok, but what food should I send you?…Mom, they don;t let you put food in the post office packages…they controll them before and they will give it back to you, please just send me what I said. And mom started again: But what will the lady from the post office think? That we are poor and I can’t send you food?…Mom, she will think they have food in the Czech Republic!!!

The days passed and my mom seemed to accept the idea she should send me just the package…but she remembered I complained at Christmas that I can;t find here the meat in a can that I love at home. It’s made by Unicarm where she used to work and it’s really good for pastas or lasagna:). So she went to the post office and asked the lady to tell her a round number:))) to see how much meat she can send me. The lady told her if she will buy 5 cans, she would have to pay 50 RON…which was all my mother needed. Today, in front of my co-workers in Bunkr, I opened my package… my baking forms, a box of chocolate(there was some space left in the box and what would the lady from the post office say:)))), and 5 cans of pork meat arrived in the Czech Republic. Thank you mom!!! 3 years in university and I never accepted packages with food from home..and here I am..sorrounded by blue meat cans:)))

P.S: I said last night to my mom that I didn;t find hot chocolate in the supermarkets here…she plans on sending me that too…so pleaseeee Sisa if you read this…show me where to buy it from!!!!
